動物園前商店街のアーケードがとぎれ、懐かしい昭和の香りの通りにある「松の木」。かつて、てっちり屋だったという和風建築を一組滞在型の宿にしました。

部屋にはキッチン、冷蔵庫、洗濯機などを備え、暮らすように滞在いただけます。小さなこども連れ、グループなど、気兼ねなくおすごしください。

同じ商店街にある「ゲストハウスとカフェと庭　ココルーム」は徒歩4分。ココルームでチェックインして、鍵をうけとってください。ココルームの庭で遊んだり、食事をしたり、またココルームが企画するさまざまなワークショップへの参加も大歓迎です。

「松の木」は、一組だけのお泊まりですので、旅の荷ほどきをして、くつろいでください

At the end of the Doubutsuen-mae shopping arcade, “Matsunoki” is immersed in a nostalgic Showa period atmosphere. We transformed a traditional house, which used to also be a blowfish restaurant, into a guesthouse for one group of people.
There is a kitchen, fridge and washing machine in the house. So you can continue your normal lifestyle. Matsunoki would be good for people with kids or a group of people.
It’s a four minute walk to “Guesthouse, Cafe, Garden Cocoroom” in the same shopping street. You can check-in at Cocoroom and receive the key. You will also be welcome to relax and play in the garden, have meals and participate in workshops all at Cocoroom.
“Matsunoki” is a guesthouse only for a group. So please relax and enjoy after unpacking your luggage.

キャンセル料金はいくら？　What happens if I cancel my reservation?

  • ３日前以降は全宿泊費の50%。当日は宿泊費の100%。
  • In case of cancellation on the expected arrival date or in case of no-show, the whole stay will be charged. In case of cancellation with less than 3 days prior to the expected arrival date 50% of the whole stay will be charged.

タバコは吸える？　Can I smoke tobacco?

荷物をあずけられる？　Can I leave luggage before check-in and after check-out?

  • ココルームにてチェックイン前のお荷物のお預かりが無料です（午前9時以降）。チェックアウト後のお荷物のお預かりは当日21時まで無料、21時を過ぎた場合は追加料金をいただきます（翌日以降は￥500／お１人様）。ただし大量の荷物の場合は、別途追加料金をいただきます。
  • Yes. We can keep your luggage on the day of check-in and check-out at guesthouse Cocoroom (no charge). Luggage storage after the day of your check-out will incur extra costs. Please let us know.

松林を通って画家の林さんが描く、松林の廊下。

伊藤若冲（江戸時代の日本画家）に憧れをこめた絵です。若冲に特別縁が
あるわけではないのですが、林さんという言葉少ない画家の絵
に対する強い想いが若冲を想起させるからです。林さんとココルームのであいは2007年。スタッフが全員退職するのと、はじめての引越しを迎えたココルームは窮地に立っていたかもしれません。そんな時に林さんは引越しを手伝いに黙々と通ってくれました。林さんは、引越したさきのココルームの店内のトイレへの通路の壁に絵を描くことになりました。その絵は、一面描かれると、その上に違う景色が描かれる、というものでした。店内では見てくれる人も少ないと思い、シャッターに描くことを林さんに提案すると、引き受けてくれ、深夜に通い続けてシャッターに極彩色のジャングルが描かれました。シャッターの絵の完成を待って、看板にも着手し、足場を組んで、林さんとわたしで、28時間かけて、若冲のモチーフを用い描きあげました。「ゲストハウスとカフェと庭　ココルーム」のトイレ棟の壁の絵も林さんの作品です。

「松の木」では、林さんに松林を描いてもらいたいと思い、お願いしました。松林には動物たちが息づきます。夜になると松林の影からそっと、旅する人の夢のなかにでてくるような。（ココルーム代表　上田假奈代）

Through the pine forest

See the corridor with pine trees by the painter Keisuke Hayashi.

This is inspired by a painting I admire by the Japanese Edo period painter Jakuchu Itou. Although there is no special connection with Jakuchu, the strong passion of the quiet painter Hayashi towards painting makes me think of Jakuchu. The first meeting between Hayashi and Cocoroom was in 2007. Cocoroom was in a predicament with the departure of all of the Cocoroom staff and the first move. He was supposed to paint on the restroom wall in the new Cocoroom but I thought only a few people would be able to see that painting. So I suggested to him to paint Cocoroom’s shopping arcade shutter instead. He accepted that and came to Cocoroom every midnight to paint a brilliantly colored jungle on the shutter. After the shutter was completed, Hayashi and I painted the signboard featuring Jakuchu’s motifs. It took 28 hours. The walls of the guest toilets in “Guesthouse Cafe Garden Cocoroom” are also his work.

For “Matsunoki” I wanted him to paint again and so asked him. In the “Matsunoki” pine trees, you can find animals are living there. It seems like they may even leave the pine trees and enter travelers dreams at night.
